The Datalogic Quickscan™ I QD2100 scanner uses image technology and was developed to combine good reading performance with excellent ergonomic design. The concept of an ‘instinctive reading distance’ was introduced a number of years ago and is based on an ergonomic study that demonstrated that users instinctively maintain a specific reading distance when recording barcodes. Diebold Nixdorf has now extended this concept in its Datalogic Quickscan™ I QD2100 scanner.
The new patented “green spot” technology integrated into the Datalogic Quickscan™ I QD2100 scanner provides immediate confirmation that the barcode has been read. The spot is projected onto the barcode itself, which is where the user is normally looking. The Datalogic Quickscan™ I QD2100 scanner offers a choice of interfaces: RS232 or USB. The Datalogic Quickscan™ I QD2100 can also read the new GS1 code (reduced space symbology) that is increasingly being used, which makes it possible to pack more information into smaller labels.
This scanner is suitable for use under adverse conditions, such as:
These scanners use image technology rather than lasers and have been approved for use in numerous countries.
