VGTU Career Fair: step towards a successful career


Students, lecturers and respectable business people were rushing to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) on this March 19th. They came here for the annual Career Fair, where the community of students and career professionals met to share their opinions, experiences, discuss the quality of studies, preparation of students for a modern labor market and their career opportunities.

Students of SMK will acquire programming skills in business companies

Active cooperation between business companies and educational institutions is gaining pace in Lithuania. One of the successful examples is a partnership between a group of companies Penki Kontinentai and a public body University of Applied Social Sciences (SMK), which started last summer.

Penki Kontinentai employees are Quantum certified specialists

IT specialists of a group of companies Penki Kontinentai went to Munich, where technical training organized by a global leader in the field of data security solutions, the U.S. company Quantum, took place. Having completed the course and successfully passed the exam, specialists of the Lithuanian company received Quantum certificates that grant an exclusive right to maintain Scalar tape libraries manufactured by Quantum in Lithuania.

In the first half of 2014, a group of companies “Penki kontinentai” was profitable

Over the first half of 2014, income of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai” grew by 55.94%, compared to the same period last year, and amounted to LTL 82.93 million. Net unaudited profit of the group amounted to LTL 8.17 million and was two and a half times higher than last year (at the end of the first half of the last year, it was LTL 3.28 million).

U.S. Cultural Attache visited a group of companies “Penki kontinentai”

At the end of July, this year, the Cultural Attache of the United States of America Sarah Talalay visited head office of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai” located in Vilnius. The purpose of her visit was to strengthen and expand mutual cooperation in the field of culture and education.
